What's this I hear you think. Well yesterday as I just got back from a trip to the DIY store, I read on Twitter that a couple of people have left Maxis / EA to start their own studio. From what I read they are going to make simulation games. And the focus right now is with the iPad:

We're starting off on the iPad with a fundamentally new simulation engine - I can't wait to start showing it off.

This new studio is called Jellygrade and consists of Ocean Quigley, Andrew Willmott and Dan Moscowitz. Awesome folks. Sad to see them go but at the same time I'm curious to see what they are going to do from now on.
